Singer and violinist Dutch. He was the cantor of the chapel of Maximilian II, then chaplain of Rudolf II, in 1585. Thanks to the protection of this monarch, he obtained the provostship of Ratibor (Silesia) , the canonicate of Saint-Gereon in Cologne, and that of St. Peter in Bautzen (Upper-Lusatia), as, since then, he still received the provostship of Leit- meritz (Bohemian). He was extremely esteemed as musicien, in Prague.
