FRACASSI Elmerico (F-54)

Argentinian pianist, composer and musical teacher. He came with his parents to Argentina in 1882, but returned to Italy to enter the Royal Conservatory in Naples. From 1896 he gave concerts in Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany. He performed in Geneva before King Edward VII of England, deserving commendable judgments by European critics. Back to Buenos Aires he he founded the Conservatory named after him in 1901, devoting himself to teaching and achieved real success with his method. He made a vast didactic work, being the author of several studies for piano, three operas, one of which was premiered in Bs.As . in 1928 with this event, school music and patriotic hymns.
