Distinguished French organist, composer, architect, and pedagogue He studied at the Paris Conservatory, where he received first prizes in organ (1935, class of Marcel Dupré) and composition (1937, class of Henri Busser).From 1936 to 1945 he was the assistant of Dupre at St.Sulpice in Paris and from 1955 to 1970 he was organist at St.Pierre-de-Montrouge. Through the years he played more than 1500 concerts, presenting the complete organ works of Bach and Cesar Franck. He was master aof improvisation. His compositions includesworks for organ, piano and oorchestra.
